Once I completed the order a download link was displayed, but It only pointed to BIBM 1.49.

My email from share-it! Notification contained a "BootIt Collection Upgrade Download", but that also led to only BIBM 1.49!

However, I was able to go to "https://www.terabyteunlimited.com/product-download.php" and Login using my name, email address and order number. That produced a list of downloads including BootIt UEFI V1.00.

After downloading (or before, I suppose), you can click "Change Your Information" and assign a new password. (I don't know if you have to actually change a previous password). After doing that, you can login using only your email address and password to get a list of downloads for all the things for which you have a license.

there are actually 2 links, but the emails have been reformatted since your
order so it's more clear.

I have BIBM already. So you say the collection has BIBM and BIBM UEFI.
Then you say that it does not have any relationship to anything that I
have already. Surely a contradiction?

Also, AIUI, BIBM UEFI is a separate product and is not a successor to
BIBM. One is for MBR and the other for GPT. The former does not do
both, which it would have to do if it were a successor.

Bob, I am not trying to me arsey or snide. I am just very confused at
how the upgrade purchase is being presented.

To Dr. Teeth:

It still appears to me that the Collection contians (only) BIBM and BIU.

The list of products at https://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ seems to confirm this.

After previously saying that, I said that the upgrade doesn't have any relationship to anything ELSE (other than BIBM and BIU) that you may have already bought.

I take your point regarding the word successor and that BIBM and BUI are different things and that you might need both.

The bottom line still seems to be that if you get the upgrade, you will effectively get BIU at a 50% discount on the price of the Collection.

I guess it could reasonably be argued that the price of the Collection is $39.95 and that you already have half of the Collection, so you're really not getting a discount on the other half.

Regardless how you choose to think about it if you didn't already have BIBM, you would have to pay $39.95 if you wanted BIBM, BIU, or both. Since you already have BIBM, you get BIU for $19.98.

Would be nice if it was $19.98, but for Canada it works out to $29.20, thanks to the fluctuating dollar prices.

I bought the package today, and finally I can use a USB stick to load things like the Boot Manager, whereas before I couldn't, so I'm happy about that !

Terabyte Question:{/b] I have downloaded the new combined package. Question : Do I use the new password for both the Legacy and UEFI versions. Can I continue to use my old BIBM password for the new Legacy version?

Downloaders: I needed to use my order number download version to get to the portal. Be sure to change your password for the combined product to the same password you used for old BIBM and IFW. Once don, You will get all products on one screen.

Problems: Having problems booting the created BIBM_UEFI pen drive. Works occasionally, but fails a lot. Unable to select a drive to install BIBM on when it works. Will keep you informed if I see any pattern. Probably my fault for not following exact instructions!! More later....

tas3086,

A few questions. Just confirming you are booting the flash drive in UEFI mode each time and not occasionally in MBR mode.

When the flash drive BIU boots, click Maintenance, Partition Work. Is the OS on HD0 or another drive? Is there an EFI System partition present?

Which OS do you have?

yes - Flash formatted MBR Partitioned, SSD formatted as GPT

Never get that far but one time (see far below)
>>Which OS do you have?
Windows 10 PRO 64bit Ver 1803
Motherboard Asrock Z97 Extreme 6 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz

Tried booting the old partworks test and the new BIU results as follows:

================================================================================
Partworks Observations:
Legacy Disabled
Secure Boot Disabled
Partworks operates perfectly
----------------------------------
Legacy Disabled
Secure Boot Enabled
Blue Screen with PARTWORKS (BOOTIT UEFI 0.05) … on first line
SYSTEM HANGS
===============================================================================
Bootit UEFI
Legacy Disabled
Secure Boot Disabled
Black Screen with
Starting...
BootIt UEFI 1.00 - Copyright (c) 1996-2018 Terabyte,Inc.
..
System locks up

Legacy Disabled
Secure Boot Enabled
Black Screen with
Starting...
BootIt UEFI 1.00 - Copyright (c) 1996-2018 Terabyte,Inc.
..
After few seconds pause the system reboots
----------------------------------------

Out of 10 tries once bootit went to the normal bootit install screen, which i cancelled and went to maintenance mode and looked at the disk partitions.
One funny observation, the 1 usb and 1 ssd hard drive were listed as hard drive 8 and 9 respectively. Don't know if that means anything.
rebooted to install again, and never got back to the bootit install screen.

Tried reformatting the USB through the 4 different formatting options, and nothing worked.
Hope that helps

tas3086,

Great reply but I'm in the dark too. While waiting for Support I'd try a different brand flash drive and/or a CD.

Probably perfectly good advice. I changed to a completely new password and also now have all products on one screen.
