EFI/GPF disks

I know that BIBM cannot be installed on a GPT disk to act as a boot manager.
Is that because it is impossible to install any boot manager at all or is TBU developing one that can be imstalled?
GPT disks are looking less desirous the more I look at them.

As far as I know, no.
For a number of reasons. One of the main ones is not compatibility.
I've been looking for information on this issue before.
Unfortunately there is nothing to say on this issue

Hi Bitman,

I have asked this of TBU before. Due to this limitation, I will only ever use MBR disks as I just cannot live without a boot manager.

Having said that, I assume that if it were possible, TBU would have done it already. I would just like some definitive information.

The issue with GPT is that copies of the partition table are stored in multiple places on the drive which are used to 'fix' any changes detected in the original. Can't be an easy thing to get around.

Hi,

All I want is a reply from TBU as to whether installing a boot manager on an EFI/GPF disk is at all possible. I just cannot use a computer without a Boot manager, I have over 10 OSs installed and will be adding to that.

TBU must be able to know by now if BIBM or even a different boot manager can be installed on a non-MBR disk.

Cheers
