With the latest version (1.41), both my mouse (trackball) and keyboard work.

I didn't actually make any changes to my HD, but navigation through the UI seems normal.

PartWork for UEFI on Intel NUC

Post by Howard Bates »

Answers to the standard questions about PartWork

1) I am using an Intel NUC machine, motherboard is NUC5i5RYB.
2) Intel Visual BIOS is very recent (end of September), ID is RYBDWi35.86A.0367.2017.0929.1059
3) The motherboard firmware supports both BIOS and UEFI boot modes.
4) The machine has two storage drives, one is GPT layout, the other is MBR layout.
5) BootItBM is installed on its own partition on the MBR layout drive.
6) PartWork is installed in its own folder on the ESP of the GPT drive.

Does it start or give a message?
Boot via UEFI / select PartWork in boot manager / PartWork starts as expected, no problems.

Does the GUI look correct or black screen?
GUI looks correct, working window on blue background, title line at top, status line at bottom.

Does the TRIM option come available on SSD drives attached to ATA or SATA?
TRIM option shows on all partitions on GPT-layout NVMe drive. It seems to work OK, but I don't know how to tell.
TRIM option shows on all partitions on MBR-layout SATA SSD drive. It seems to work OK, but I don't know how to tell.

Related, does the hardware wipe option show under wipe drive if the drive supports secure wipe?
When deleting a partition, secure wipe option is available on both drives.
When deleting entire disc, hardware wipe option is available on both drives.

Does the mouse cursor show, if so does moving it work?
Mouse works fine, moves properly and can select items. I have a Cherry desktop set - wireless keyboard and mouse which connect via a single USB dongle.
