After installing BootIt 1.32 it reports EMBR is missing

Have a Win 2011 server with 8 disks. Have made a couple of backups off a CDROM with BootIt, but wanted to install BootIt on the server so I would not have to use the CDROM. I let the program select the install partition. When booting up the messages are BootIt EMBRI 4.00, then BootIt EMBRL 4.00, then EMBRM Load: EMBR is missing or is an unsupported version! Finally, System Halted!

Seems as if it never knew where the OS is located, but didn't ask. How do I get it back to booting normally?

Did the BootIt partition end up on another drive? Probably, so when booting
from the media vs the hard drive, the drive order was different, try putting
it on the boot drive itself if the drive number will change. To uninstall
manually, follow the manual uninstall at
http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id=497

or just go to partition work for the boot drive, click view mbr, and click
w7 mbr, then apply.

Drive 0 which is a data disk shows the active flag on the first and only partition and maybe where BootIt was installed. Drive 3 is the OS drive and it has a small unnamed partition that has the active flag. I see no way to uninstall BootIt as BootIT will not run except from the CDROM and it is inhibited there. What else can I do?

I did the "partition work for the boot drive, click view mbr, and click w7 mbr, then apply." Now when starting the message is BOOTMGR is missing, seems like a downward spiral.

What I did to fix the installation was to remove the active/boot flag on Data Drive 0 and on the first partition of Drive 3, then turn on the active/boot flag on the 4th partition of Drive 3 where BootIT was installed. This allowed the server to start up into BootIT where I set up the Boot configuration to then start the 2nd partition where the OS was installed. Not sure if this is what should be done, but it works on a manual basis.

just means the partition booting isn't the os boot partition. When your
bios reorders the drives when booting boot media vs booting the hard drives,
you have to manually configure things and know which drive is the boot drive
(when not HD0 as viewed from the boot media).
