opening boot screen help and utilities not functional

Today I tried, for the first time, to access the "Help" , "Utilities" buttons at the top of the opening boot screen of bootitbm. Neither the alt-(first letter), nor the mouse would open either button and when I tried them, the main screen changed color to a pinkish less contrast. I did not go further after rebooting twice to verify what was happening.

Also there is a two sentence blurb that appears just after the opening embr before the opening boot screen. It goes by so fast I cannot read it. How can I freeze or get that message so I can see what it says?

Where can I download the archives of this board (are they still kept?), so I can read past posts?

1. Those are on the main BIBM window, the boot selection menu is a child window that steals focus from the main window. You have to choose Maint. on the boot menu window to change focus to access those items.

2. film it with your phone or such and pause the video at that spot.

3. Seeing as BIBM is fairly new, I wouldn't expect anything relevant in older board versions' content.

Thanks mashedmitten for the clear to the point reply.

Have you actually tried filming such things with a cp?
I wonder if you can stop the video in time since the message only lasts for less than a second. I don't think I have slow motion function on my smartphone, but probably there is a program for that or maybe a setting within the cp?

Standard camera app on my phone lets me take snapshots in videos.

Just hit the Pause key on your keyboard at the correct time while booting.
