Updating BIBM

Just curious to know if it is required or necessary to update BIBM each time there's an update ?

I'm still on my original version ( 1.35 ) but see it's now up to v1.35c

If it is recommended to update, I assume I would have to boot from my BIBM CD to update and then make a new CD.

I do update the Drive Image Suite when there's an update, but haven't done the Boot Manager updates.

you don't have to, the latest ones have mainly been updating the image
version. May be internal changes, if you have problems you should always
upgrade.

If you perform automatic restores using IFD from BIBM I would definitely update to get the current version of IFD (3.03 had an issue with automatic restores).

To update, just create new BIBM boot media, boot it, and select the upgrade option. I usually use a CD-RW or UFD for the boot media so it's reusable.

Using an SD card also works well for me.

Thanks for that Paul,

I didn't notice that 1.35 had IFD 3.03 so I will upgrade my version.

Haven't used a CD-RW for yrs, guess I'll pick some up for future use.

Try using SD cards or USB thumb drives as well.
Much faster to read than CD also.

My computer doesn't use SD cards, and a CD drive is just fine to boot from when needed, when you're older than dirt, time is irrelevant but thanks for the input. :)
