Unable to access USB drive with BIBM/IFD

Purchased and installed BIBM/IFD yesterday to upgrade from BING. I'm receiving a new SSD tomorrow and have been trying to create an image of Win7 to transfer to it.
System is a Toshiiba Satellite A660D - ST2NX2. The latest BIOS is installed, ver 1.50. USB Legacy Emulation is Enabled.

The problem is BIBM and IFD can not locate either of my USB backup drives.
Tried all four interfaces.
BIOS - Does not see USB Drive
BIOS Direct - Does not see USB Drive
USB - Locks up mouse, keyboard and system. Have to reboot with the power button
IEEE1394 - Message something like no drives found.

Tried plugging USB drive in before boot, and just before it looks for the USB drive.

After reading 5 related KB articles I tried a trial version of IFL and it worked perfectly, and quickly. Just not sure if the trial will allow me to restore the image.

Any how, is there anything else I can try to get IFD or BIBM to recognize the USB Drives?

Regards,
Bert

Bert,

Use IFL. Your experience is similar to several members here.

Thanks Brian. That's what I did and it worked perfectly.

Funny thing now is BIBM/IFD will detect one of my WD external USB drives, but not the other external USB Seagate drive. :o

I would have thought that it might be a USB/SATA controller, but ability to see one drive and not another on the same controller is interesting. Do both spin up at the same time if power only is applied, before the computer is powered on?
