Slide & Re-size XP Mode VHD Partition

Hi all. My client is running Win 7 Pro x64 with an XP Mode vhd and is getting "Disk Full" messages as the Dynamic XP Mode vhd has completely filled the dedicated 50 GiB primary partition where it's located. Can I slide the partition to put 80 GiB behind it and then Re-size to gain some space without breaking the XP Mode VHD.

HD Partition layout:
Dell Utility -- 39 MiB
Recovery ---19016 MiB
OS --- 407880 MiB Free 180000 MiB
VMs ----50000MiB
Free Space ---4 MiB

If the above isn't doable, please chime in, all comments and directions are appreciated. Thanks.

JRay

Say you reduce the OS by 80G, then you'd slide the VM partition down so free
space before is zero. Resize the VM partition larger. Now you can run
scripting, mount the VM partition (you can use list hd 0, list hd 1, etc..
to find the drive and ID), change to that drive, run the "set size vhd"
(type: help set size vhd) command to adjust the virtual hard drive if you
have it setup with a size < the new size of the partition. Exit to exit
scripting.

Only if the max dynamic size needs to be increased. For example, if the max dynamic size is 100GB and the partition is 120GB in size, the VHD will never expand to use the additional 20GB. Also, if the VHD's disk size is already at the maximum you wouldn't be able to expand it further.

Viewing local disk properties within the vhd shows 10.5 GB used, 116 GB Free Space and 127 GB as the disk size. My friend Google says, XP Mode vhd default max size is 127GB, will scripting need to be done? :?:
