Button text in 1.24 difficult to read

In the latest version 1.24 of BIBM the text of the buttons shows black against a dark green background. Because of this the text is very difficult to read. Is there a way to correct this so that the background of the text is lighter ?
I looked at the Display Settings options but I could not see anything for the button text or background.
