Question about Compact Flash and BootIt

I am going to use Compact Flash card as IDE main hard drive. I notice BootIt may update the settings during the boot selection or imaging. Is there any possible way to disallow Bootit to write anything to the hard drive during booting or imaging in order to save write cycles?

Thank you.

Version 1.22 (not out yet) has a LimitWrites value.

1 = don't save last booted
2 = don't return to desktop after operation
3 = both 1 and 2.

To set, can edit bootitbm.ini in partition work, save change, reboot with
ctrl-alt-del.
