Zalman VE-300: unable to execute IMAGE.EXE

I recently bought a Zalman VE300. This device emulates a CDrom player (and is an external HDD case). I put a 60GB SSD in it. You can select which "CD" from the ISO folder should be in the "CD player". When try to use this method to boot BootIt Bare Metal (or Image for Dos), it doesn't work. I get: unable to execute MOUSE.COM and on a second line the same message for IMAGE.EXE. I tried searching this forum and google, but can't find it. Best hit was this one: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ucf/vi ... cute#p3893.
I'm using an UEFI motherboard (Asus p9X79-E WS), but the normal (non uefi) CDROM mode. Any ideas?

Does it boot the IFD and BIBM ISO files on a different system?

Have you tried booting any other ISO files besides IFD and BIBM?

It would appear that it's starting to boot, but then can't find the programs to run. Probably it's not finding the emulated drive.

Valid questions, should have thought of them myself, sorry.

2: I have now, a live CD ISO works just fine
3: it does start booting, see below

BootIt EMBRL 4.00
Please wait...
unable to execute MOUSE.EXE
unable to execute IMAGE.EXE
press <ENTER> to continue

1: tested it, it works fine on my media pc (Zotac 9300-ITX, bios) and on my girlfriends PC (Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H, UEFI (both normal and UEFI boot)). Still doesn't work on my PC (Asus P9X79e WS, UEFI).

Sounds like to me that the BIOS interface being used for CD Emulation
booting isn't supporting what it should - in that mode the old chs functions
should be supported (floppy emulation boot).

So what'd I'd start with is ensuring all firmware up to date. Both the
system BIOS (1003) and the Zalman device firmware. Then see if a problem,
if so, report to zalman that 1.44 Floppy emulation booting isn't working
properly (probably due to lack of Int 13h CHS functions (02 read) or a bug
in their emulation). Point them to trial, then they can test/fix.

Updated the VE300, the motherboard was already ok. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. I will create a support call at Asus. Thanks for your help.
