Resizing Drives on Hyper-V

Post by LISpeedyG »

Hi,
I was wondering if your drive sizing utility would work on Server 2008R2 and up Running in a VM under Microsoft's Hyper-V?
I've made an iso to try and boot to your utility but it does not seem to load.

Thanks for the help.

it would work just like on a normal drive. The iso should load if the vm
has boot cd emulation support, if it boots and goes to a black screen, that
may be graphic related and a different graphic option may be needed.

Thanks for your help.
It turns out the VM I was trying to use required UEFI (I think there's a way to do this also). But, when I used the same iso on a Server 2008R2 it did indeed boot.

However, I can't seem to get the mouse to work I wonder if there's an option (other than enabling/disable) mouse support. I've tried most combinations of all options without success. Any other ideas??

Thanks

Has to do with the system state when POST/BIOS hands off to BIBM. It can be changed on some, but not all systems. The easiest thing to do is get a simple wireless mouse with no bells and whistles. I've got a $9 Logitech that works on everything when others won't.

Been curious to see if IFL would allow me to add the correct drivers for the ones that don't work but haven't had the time.

It'd be nice to start a database of mice that worked/ didn't. :!:

I'd go so far as to get a mouse with a wire/cable.

Thanks for the tips.

However, I've tried a number of Mice both wireless and wired and none of them worked at all.

In all cases, the mouse cursor turns into a dot and informs me with a warning sign that I can release the mouse with <ctrl><alt> left arrow. However, all mouse actions at that point are frozen.
