Problem:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The following error message appears during system boot:<\/p>\r\n

\r\n

SPT < Minimum<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

Cause:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The affected system contains partition(s) that are not aligned to cylinder boundaries, which causes the BIOS to change the geometry to invalid values.<\/p>\r\n

Solution 1 of 2:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Configure the system BIOS to use its LBA Mode<\/strong> or Fixed Geometry<\/strong> setting.<\/p>\r\n

Please note:<\/strong> This method may not resolve the problem on some affected systems.<\/p>\r\n

Solution 2 of 2:<\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\r\n

    \r\n\t
  1. Boot into\u00a0BootIt\u00a0BM\u00a0from the Setup media. When the Installation & Recovery Boot Menu<\/strong> appears, click the Maintenance<\/strong> button and enter Maintenance Mode.

  2. Click the Partition Work<\/strong> button on the BootIt\u00a0BM desktop.
    \r\n
    \r\n<\/li>\r\n\t
  3. In Work with Partitions<\/strong>,\u00a0do the following for each drive:
    \r\n\u00a0
    \r\n
      \r\n\t
    1. Select the drive using the Drives<\/strong> drop-down box.<\/li>\r\n\t
    2. Click the View MBR<\/strong> button.<\/li>\r\n\t
    3. Click the Fill E-CHS<\/strong> button on the View MBR<\/strong> window.<\/li>\r\n\t
    4. Click Apply<\/strong> on the View MBR<\/strong> window.

      \r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t
    5. Boot into the installed copy of BootIt\u00a0BM (not from the BootIt\u00a0BM Setup media). You may reboot either by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete<\/strong>, or by closing the Work with Partitions<\/strong> window and then selecting the Reboot<\/strong> button on the BootIt BM desktop.

    6. In BootIt\u00a0BM Settings<\/strong>, enable the Align\u00a0on 1MiB Boundaries<\/strong>\u00a0option in the Global Geometry and Alignment<\/strong> section.
