Please note that any problems or limitations inherent to the system BIOS will apply.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>BIOS (Direct):<\/strong> Attempts to locate the hard drive using the system BIOS, but then attempts to access it directly, bypassing the BIOS. This can sometimes be helpful in cases where performance with the <strong>BIOS<\/strong> option is very poor. To get the most out of this option when creating an image, you should select a file (direct) \u2013 rather than file (os) \u2013 as the target for saving the image.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Note:<\/span><\/strong> Use <strong>BIOS (direct)<\/strong> when you are going to be accessing SATA hard drives and CD\/DVD drives or using the <strong>BIOS (direct)<\/strong> option anywhere.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>USB:<\/strong> Examines the attached USB controller, if any, for available high-speed hard drives.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>IEEE1394:<\/strong> Examines the attached IEEE 1394 controller, if any, for available hard drives.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Virtual Drive:<\/strong> Enables you to select a single file virtual drive.
