If any extended partition above 8GB (type 5 or 15h) is visible to NT 4 SP1, it will blue screen with inaccessible boot device. <\/p>\r\n

To correct this:<\/p>\r\n

  1. Hide the extended partition. <\/li>\r\n
  2. Boot Windows NT. <\/li>\r\n
  3. Install a new service pack to prevent the error. <\/li>\r\n
  4. Unhide the extended partition. <\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n
