How to Manually Set a Partition Active

To set a partition active using BootIt Next Generation do the following:

1. If installed, boot to BootIt NG. If not installed, boot to the BootIt NG installation media (CD, flash drive, floppy).
   
   
2. If installed, enter Maintenance Mode by clicking the Maintenance button. If booted from the installation media, click the Cancel button to enter Maintenance Mode.
   
   
3. Click the Partition Work button.
   
   
4. Click the View MBR button.
   
   
5. Highlight the partition you want active and click the Set Active button.
   
   
6. Click the Apply button.
   
   

To prevent loss of active status, consider enabling the Keep HD Active option in BootIt NG. Use this option to ensure that the active status on all hard drives remains active.
