Hi,
i'm a beta tester for various company , and often i have to restore Images that i created before installing the products.
When I restore an image from Boot It Bare Metal, i often forgot to change the option from Normal to Manual, as i want to restore only the partition, and not the complete disk info. Is there a way to set as default the "manual" option ?

B. regards
Fabrizio

Then you'd only select the partition .. not sure I follow what you mean?

PMFJI, but I also use the manual option exclusively - because a) I am not 110% clear what 'automatic' does and b) I prefer full (manual) control of the process.

Could you elaborate on why one should sue one option over the other?

I would like the default option is "Normal" and not Automatic, as each time i want to specify, all the options (for example new size)
In add, it may happens that image files contains a backup of already existing partition, and with automatic backup , Image for dos try to overwrite it, while i want to restore or on a different drive, or on a different drive space-

Hope to have explained.

2. On the Restore/Select screen that appears, select an option to determine how Image for DOS handles the selection of the target drive and options:
* If you choose Automatic, Image for DOS attempts to choose the target drive and options automatically using information stored in the backup files. If Image for DOS cannot identify the target drive and options or you don't accept the suggested target drive, Image for DOS will use the Normal option and ask you to select the target drive and options.
* If you choose Normal, Image for DOS will ask you to select the target drive and options.
