BING and USB

Post by HighSierra »

I've been using BING for many years with great success.

However I recently upgraded to an ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard and since then My USB mouse doesn't work in BING.

If anyone has the same set up I have and it works, please let me know. Perhaps I can then resolve this issue.

Thanks.

You'll be told it's your BIOS and to upgrade/update it, or contact the maker for such.
Such is a weaknesses of USB mouse support here.

If you have other USB mice, try them, one might work, but doubtfull.
Good luck, you'll need it.

Thanks, that is what I suspect. Hopefully someone with this Motherboard and a USB mouse that is working will have some info. I have updated my BIOS.

If you don't have Legacy USB mouse support in your BIOS, you'd have to send
the mobo maker a request to add support for the various C2xxh Int 15h
functions for USB mouse (which is an emulated mode to interface with the HID
device, they already do it for the KB so just need to add for the mouse).

I have the same problem with this motherboard. I use the keyboard (USB) or attach a PS2 mouse and get the job done .

This MB does have Legacy USB support. I've tried the enabled and auto settings. My USB keyboard works.

Should prove most interesting which one has the fix for USB mouse support.

Seems the MB has support for my mouse. BING doesn't.

NVM this appears to be an ASUS issue. ASUS forum has posts about this.

I ghave opened a ticket with ASUS and will report back what I hear.
