I am creating an IFL bootable USB, and would like to set various options by using an IFL.INI file when I create it. I can't find the IFL.INI option for Assume Same Target System. What is it, please?

It's the "GlobalGeoMBRGeo" option.

[Options]
GlobalGeoMBRGeo=1

Puzzled. The manual says that option is equivalent to "Use MBR Geometry."

"Assume Same Target System" is a global geometry option. If you set it you don't need to use the "Use MBR Geometry" override option for the disk.

Since I want to do this in the INI file, I'm not using global options. I'm booting from an IFL USB. I admit I'm a bit confused. Wouldn't all the options be controlled by the INI file on the USB, and if not set, defaults taken?

Unless you have disabled using Global Geometry, you would be using them. And, yes, if you don't specify them the defaults will be used.

Note that the "Assume Same Target System" option and many others are available when creating the IFL boot media if you select the "Traditional - You have control over options. (Custom)" build type in MakeDisk.
