Hi all,
I've created a 40Gb NTFS primary partition on a SATA HD and set it to active. Its position is immediately after the 8Mb Boot-It partition.
Boot-It - LBA = 63, Sectors = 16002
Primary partition - LBA = 82060020, Sectors = 103233690
The file system on the primary partition is: 7/7h: HPFS/NTFS
I'm wondering what may be causing the partition info: "This partition may not boot WinNT". So far it has been booting fine.
Many thanks
This partition may not boot WinNT?

Re: This partition may not boot WinNT?
Windows NT is old and has quite a few boot partition restrictions. 40GB is larger than NT supports.

Thanks Paul. I meant to mention that I run XP/SP3. I guess that would be WinNT 5.1?
It's mean, lean and fast, great in a video-audio project studio and is not a RAM gobbler

That message is referring to Windows NT (3.x/4.x), not all NT-based versions. XP wouldn't have any problems with it.

OK thanks Paul. Something else I learned today
