No DEFAULT or Ui configuration directive found! problem

Post by banshee »

Hi,

I recently started trialing IFW. I was following the steps as outlined here -> http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/howto/ ... otfile.htm. BrianK suggested I skip steps 7,8,9 (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/ ... fw.372285/) post #12. I did step 10 and I got this error :

Syslinux 4.03 2010-1'-22 edd copyright 1991-2010 H peter.....

ERROR: No configuration file found
No DEFAULT or Ui configuration directive found!
Boot:

------

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I'm including a screenshot. -> http://www.imagebam.com/image/b04df6381628742

Any help appreciated.

banshee,

Do you see the IFL video menu before seeing the error? Or do you just see the error?

Does an IFL UFD boot normally?

Just the error. The second I run run_ifl.bat as an Administrator my computer restarts into IFL and I just see the error.

Which version of the OSD Tool Suite are you using? The professional version of that is required (see step 3 of the tutorial) so that tbosdtw.exe will be able to execute the ifl_boot.tbs script (this happens when you run setupifl.bat). That is what sets up the syslinux config files that are missing when you boot.

The trial version of IFW that you are referring to above does not include the professional version of the OSD Tool Suite, just the base version.

I'm using the trial version I downloaded off the main site. I guess that explains why it's not working for me.

Thanks
