BIBM compatible with Apple/Mac partitions?

Post by Randy99 »

Hi Guys,

I'm a long time user of BING and recently upgraded to BIBM... I looked all around and found nothing re Terabyte and Apple products??

I have never used a MAC, but am considering buying a Macbook Air 13 with an SSD. I assume the apple partitions would be similar to Linux.. is that correct? If so, I'm pretty familiar with taming Linux so I should be OK. My goal is to put BIBM on the unit so I can backup to a USB HD and re-image if necessary.

Thanks, Randy

Installing on the iMac isn't supported. The file system on the iMac would
be backed up sector by sector. Image for Linux has been used to backup an
iMac, replace the HD, restore successfully, but the iMac isn't officially
supported at this time.

Oh, OK. I purchased image for Linux in a bundle, but have never used it... I used BING to manage my Linux partitions. Any more tips on working with Mac partitions? (I understand I'll need to do a sector by sector backup.)

Thanks, Randy
