Fast Startup

The Fast Startup issue with Windows 8.1 is apparently very real. On my Windows 8.1 system I back up the System Reserved and operating system (C:) partitions to a single file set on DVD's using Image for DOS V2.88. I then restore them to a second hard drive on the same machine. I set the validate byte-for-byte parameter for both the backup and the restore and they both run without incident. But on several attempts the restored drive shows corrupted and missing folders and files. Turning off Fast Startup via the Control Panel seems to have fixed the problem for at least one backup/restore cycle. Thanks for posting the warning.
