I just got a sale ad from Tiger Direct for 256 GB SD cards.
They also have a similarly sized USB 3.0 thumb drive and a 240 GB solid
state drive, all PNY brand. They are similarly sale priced @ close to
$100 USD.

Not sure if it is on their web site or just in the email.

On that site...."up to 2TB" WOWSER!<g>
That's really packing it in on such small form factors!

Besides the top capacity of such media, I'm curious as to how you manage images of such small sizes that you can get by with 64GB cards. As noted in my messages, I'm backing up images of 1 desktop, and 3 laptops. None of which could get by under 128GB SD cards, so I use an Icy Dock w/4TB HDD to hold all my various images.

Only my Acers Aspire netbook w/WinXP which runs my MagicJack (VOIP) phone might get by with under 64GB SD card, but I'd end up loosing the little things:-(

I'm an information pack rat<g>.....comes from years of doing T/S in the past.

I just ordered this 64GB from Newegg.com.....
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820313375

Didn't need the included reader, but went for it anyway due to the 20% off deal.
Used to order 95% of PC supplies there, but just this month they opened a warehouse in my home state
so NOW they charge me sales tax....oh well. Still prefer Newegg over Tiger Direct, for me often having better deals. Sign up for their newsletter for weekly specials.

This is an excellent USB 3.0 media reader and I love mine....
