hi
can bibm reset/wipe a ssd ?
i know there is a wipe tool but the ssd have a feature to wipe/reset very quickly
i own 3 samsung pro , and their utility doesn't work

yes, if it's on a standard controller and not RAID - you'd use BIOS
(direct), then wipe drive, hardware, option will be there for secure delete
(if your BIOS has locked it, you may have to unplug/plug back in the drive
(while on) if you're comfortable with that and careful, then go back in and
should be unlocked). You could also create one big partition then trim that
when you delete it.

No, nothing can do it without unplugging. It's in the hardware - once the
BIOS freezes it, it can't be done without a hardware reset (power cycle or
taking down the bus). As mentioned, you can use "trim" by creating a partition
and deleting it, but that's not the same as an erase request.
