Restore to a larger partition
I want to restore an image of a C: drive to a partition that is now slightly larger than it was when I made the image. Can that be done?
Re: Restore to a larger partition
Sure. Make sure you use the Resize Partition field on the Options screen otherwise the restored partition will be the same size as when the image was created.

Re: Restore to a larger partition
Brian, thanks very much for your prompt reply. Perhaps you would be kind enough to answer another question. I am running Windows XP. There are two hard drives in the computer. The C: partition is on Drive 0. The image file is on Drive 1. Even so, I get an error message saying that IFW is unable to obtain a lock. Must I use Image for DOS?

You cannot restore an image to a loaded and working instance of an OS.
You will have to use IfD or IfL.
