I have a 1TB drive which has some free space I've allocated to the existing extended partition, but I cannot seem to add that space to one of the volumes in the partition. The layout is roughly as follows ...
.......3 primary partitions, all working well.......... then
Extended.........Partition........695663....................Extended
------..............Volume..........29969.....................Free Space
VMs...............Volume.........625647.....................NTFS
Docs..............Volume..........40043......................NTFS
New MBR Entry..Partition..........4095......................Boot EMBRM
------..............Partition..........4110......................Free space
What I'd like to do is add the 29969 space to the VMs space in the extended Partition. I am allowed to slide the VMs volume up, but if I try to resize it, I cannot make it any larger.
Any thoughts appreciated as I'm sure I'm missing something obvious
Trying to make an extended volume larger

dmshimself,
Slide VMs so there is zero Free Space Before. Then you can resize it.
