IFL 3.64 fails with Secure Boot enabled

Post by Fracso »

I tried IFL 3.64 in two computers, a Lenovo desktop and a Lenovo ThinkPad. In both cases, the boot reported a security error. Tried again with Secure Boot disabled, and the boot was successful in both cases.

This hadn´t happened with these computers and Secure Boot enabled in any of the recent IFL versions.

That thread was about IFW. This is about IFL.

Edit and update

I checked with IFL 3.63 and the same happened. Also checked with a Dell laptop, Secure Boot enabled, the same. Maybe a MS update changed something that is causing this problem.

The error is:

ERROR
Verificacion failed:
(0x1A) Security Violation

I checked with another Linux boot UFD (GParted Live), and it booted with Secure Boot enabled. So it´s an IFL problem.

the system probably has the firmware updated to reject older versions. they just released new updates last week so we'll be able to update it for a future update (hopefully next one).
