Why has IfW now got a native x64 version? Does it give real improvements/advantages or is it in response to requests? I ask as some 32-bit versions of programs are faster in a 64 bit environment than native 64-bit versions.

Why 64 bit?
Re: Why 64 bit?
64 bit is technically faster than 32 bit. It processes information virtually twice than 32 bit. I guess it's just an incompatibility issues here between the software and OS.
Re: Why 64 bit?
64-bit software is not inherently faster than 32 bit. The main/only advantage is the ability to address more memory. In many cases, as I said, 64 bit is either slower or runs at the same speed as 32 bit software on a x64 OS.

Re: Why 64 bit?
The 32-bit version is still the default Windows version. The 64-bit versions of the programs are necessary for when 32-bit support is not available (when creating a TBWinRE build using Windows 7 x64, for example).
Re: Why 64 bit?
So there is no difference in use by using one over the other in x64 windows?

Re: Why 64 bit?
They are functionally the same. In my tests, the 64-bit version can take the same amount of time or a little longer to complete the same task compared to the 32-bit version (depends on the system).
