I wanted to resize my C: partition today using BING.
The first USB wired mouse the curser would only go up and
down the page but would not respond to clicking.
The 2nd wireless mouse the curser moved right and down with
no response to clicking at all.
The 3rd USB wired mouse worked like a charm.
If you have mouse problems, try a different mouse.
My hunch is try a wired mouse since I have yet to get a
wireless one that works with BING.

You can take a mouse that does what you're seeing on one system, use it on
another and works ok, it's the BIOS ability to handle the mouse/packets that
determines how well the mouse works (also some BIOSes loose packets when
another BIOS int is in process). Ctl-Z can be used to reset the mouse and
bring it back in sync with the BIOS.

This computer seems to have some idiosyncrasies that others
don't.
For example, Spin Rite will not run at all. It hangs on
attempting to access the SATA hard drive. And I have written
asking about it. Wish Steve would put in more SATA options
since that is about all new computers come with.
If the ability comes from the BIOS, I must wonder why USB
mouse #3 worked like a charm and the other 2 were useless.

Ok, I finally dug out my pile of old mice and here's what I got for
results.......
Did NOT work;
MicroSoft Wireless Optical (USB) Mouse
{works fine in WinXP Pro/Win 7}
ALL of these Logitech mice worked perfectly both in BIBM (I no longer
use BiNG) & Windows;

Contrary to popular (mis)belief, not all USB ports are created equal.
I'm not talking about USB versions 1.0/1.1/2.0/3.0 but rather front -
vs- rear USB ports on desktops.
USB ports on the front of most desktops are connected off a header on
the MoBo, whereas rear USB ports are had wired (soldered) to the MoBo.
Shouldn't make any difference right? Wrong! IF you have a desktop PC
try connecting your USB mouse into one of the rear USB ports.
About a week back I counted how many various USB devices I have, and it
totals 44! Yikes....how'd that ever happen.{g}

It is a Genius mouse - with a retractable cord. It is too
small for me to be comfortable using it regularly but I was
delighted that it works in BING.
It is possible that it is sold where you are.

That info is on the Genius USB wired mouse that worked.
The non-workable one has an annoying blue light whenever the
computer is turned on. I didn't know that when I got it.
I also found that if the wireless USB micro connector is
installed, the curser will immediately start moving right
and down. BING did not like those micros at all.
