Account Express

Post by mjnelson99 »

I am also looking @ Account Express. Free download.
It is better than Moneydance.

I did an import and my credit card only put in the payments and none of
the interest or purchases. I plugged in a number that would give the
correct balance as of now. Since 2016 is so new, I can work with that.

The bank account did better on import. I had a couple of minor corrections.

If you duplicate the download dates from the bank, it will re-enter a
transaction so that must be done carefully. I only duplicated about 3-4
transactions.

Also, I do not see a way for it to transfer $$ from bank to credit card
w/o needing to enter it separately in the CC acct. Will do more research
later.

Am tired of messing with this for now.

P.S. If you want to use on a mobile or auto download from financial
institutions, this is not for you.

I did find out how to trf from bank to CC. Easy.
Scheduled transactions also easy.

It can use Quicken file extension for bank downloads.
Can also use QIF.

Maybe I can ditch Quicken completely.

Probably not so good for investment accts.

You can play for 30 days w/o paying for the program. Unlimited
transactions in that time period.

Re the problem with the Credit card. I needed to do a separate QIF
download for that account.

The payments I mentioned earlier were there because of the payments in
the bank account that was already in line with the bank balance.

QFX downloaded files do not seem to duplicate for the most part.

This program does not automatically mark transactions as cleared. I had
to do it manually. I may email their Support people re this one.
