I am investigating the program Moneydance. You can download and try it
for up to 100 manually entered transactions. Imported files are not
included in that limit.
Importing Microsoft Money files seems complicated. Did not look into
importing Quicken files yet. May be better or not.
Yes, it does cost. No, they do not limit how long you can import bank,
etc., info as long as your institution has a file system it can use.
Maybe run it concurrently and see if it will work for you?
If Quicken goes down the tubes who knows how long some formats will be
available.
So far no one has chosen to purchase Quicken, but it is on the market.

P.S. Moneydance can also be used in Linux & on a Mac.

Re: Moneydance
P.P.S. If trying Moneydance, export from Quicken as QFX. I used
something different and it messed up. Now I will find where it stores
the file so I can delete it.
It combined credit card with bank accts in no usable order.

Re: Moneydance
I imported 2 accts separately in 2 exports as QIF after first naming
them in Moneydance. Bank A $$$$, Credit Card B $$$$
There I also set up the starting balance as of 01/01/2015 which is where
I started the import.
Now they both balance with the institutions involved.
If you have lots of different accounts at banks, credit cards,
investments, etc. it may not work well or just take longer.
I could not get it to import in QFX. Not sure why.

Alan,
I found the file and supposedly opened it. Nothing I could see was
happening and no info from the file was in Moneydance. They had told me
QFX was the best import to use. Maybe 2013 exports a bit differently
from newer Quickens?
I am not very impressed with Moneydance program so far. Even Quicken is
easier to use although with it up for sale, maybe not so good.
I was trying to delete a scheduled income reminder and could not find a
way to delete it. Now it shows up in 3 places in a month and if I change
the name of 1, all 3 names change. Not very efficient.
