Hi All:
I am wanting to change my motherboard. I am not changing anything else. Neither board has onboard video but both do sound and LAN. Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3. I use TeraByte products BIBM, IFW, and dual-boot retail versions of Win XP SP3 and Win 7 Ultimate x64 through BIBM. I would really like to avoid having to rebuild this installation.
I have read some (On SevenForums) of a product that helps with moving your OS from one MB to another but what is your opinion of what I would have to do the way I am set up?
One of my concerns is Win7's boot files are now on it's home partition. I used Terabyte tutorial to accomplish this when I installed BIBM. Would this complicate matters as you understand it?
Thanks for any help.

Chances are you will need to re-validate Win 7 at least.
Acer had to replace my MB and that is what happened.
Try just doing a normal restore of your latest image(s).

Backup your Win 7 partition. Change your motherboard and bootup. Win 7
should manage the changes without problems. You may have a few reboots
and the worst that could happen is that you would be exposed to
MSoft's excellent and traumatic-free licence revalidation system.
Honest, it was as bad/good as that when I did much more.
