Feel like an orphan with Win 7?

Post by mjnelson99 »

I got 2 Family Packs of Win 7 Home premium. I know I used all 3 on pack
1 and think I still have one left on Pack 2.

I saw a link on Google to download the Win 7 iso from MS. (I already got
them much earlier though).

They want the install code before allowing a download.

Guess what? Neither Family pack numbers were "Valid".

MS really wants us ALL on Win 10. Not necessarily me.

I did update my 5-6 yr old Acer to Win 10 in 2016. I quickly saved an
image.
THEN I restored a Win 7 image created right before the update.

My new HP AIO is Win 10 and I will not attempt to put Win 7 on it.
Mostly, Win 10 is curbed so less invasive. I know I CAN use Version 3
IFL to do a restore as well. That is useful info.

Hi Mary,

Hope you're keeping well.

I had a similar experience a few days ago. I tried to load an Office
2010 and was told that I needed to reactivate. It was reunactivatable.

2 mins later after using System Restore (SR) and all was well again
without a further peep.

I really like SR as it can deal with so many little things like this
in a minute or so.
