MKBISO

I am not sure where this question belongs, but I can move it if there is another place preferable. You have a free product called MKBISO, described as "This small program is used to create a bootable ISO file based off an image of a diskette or partition." I am wondering whether this program would allow me to create a bootable ISO of the OEM recovery partition on the hard disk of a laptop running 64-bit Windows OS?

I would doubt it. The recovery partition is likely to be a strange
partition-type accessible via the BIOS and invisible to normal OSs.

If you backup there is no real point. What you could do is back up
your current setup, restore, backup the virgin install and then
restore the working install.
