I agree that having different versions of Windows see other
can have weird side effects. So much safer to hide them
thoroughly using BIBM.

I used BING on my old desktop with Win 7 & XP Pro on it with
4+ partitions activated with them safely hidden from each
other and had no problems.

Today I would use BIBM if I wanted to do the same thing.

I would go as far as not even having them in the MBR in order to hide
them in the first place.
