IFL not showing partitions

Post by skipro »

IFL GUI [latest version] does not show partitions on HD thru USB connection,
internal HD ok. Partitions are visible & functional in Win 7.
Using BIBM I do not have USB keyboard function and it freezes [no PS2
ports]. I had to make partition changes in Win 7. Old partitions on this HD
were visible in BIBM and IFL but not in Win 7. Because I cannot work in BIBM
and they were not visible in Win 7, I had to remove them in IFL.
IFL saw the old partitions but none made in Win 7.

First time I used IFL and USB mouse and keyboard worked fine. Familiar with
problems with USB devices in BIBM and BING. Any reason you cannot make a
version of BIBM using Linux for those of us without PS2 ports, especially
since this is becoming more common? Most of the time I [we] can use the
keyboard only, but when that is not functional, Linux seems to be the
answer. Am I missing something?
If this is not possible, can you add some of the features in PW [BIBM]
available?

For the USB, don't use the USB option to access the drive, instead attach
before boot and use BIOS option.

If you have a EMBR, then that is where IFL is looking for partitions, you
boot BIBM to sync the MPT and MBR, or use the change disk type option to
make it a MBR type drive (or GPT).
