IFW restore after hardware change

A friend is evaluating the program and poses this scenario...

SATA hard drive dies and is replaced with another brand/capacity or even type, perhaps an SSD.

Will he be able to restore his IFW image via the DOS rescue disk?
What prompts might he expect to see?
Any obstacles to overcome?

Of course, after IFW is installed on the new drive, he can always rescue individual files via TBIview.

Thanks

HD brand/type doesn't matter (except for something like using by-id with
linux - see http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id=389). Just
ensure it's big enough to restore the image. See
