They released it today.

Sign up for the Versions newsgroup and find out sooner.

Jim,

I invariably get the emails well after updates have appeared in the
NGs and after I have deployed them, they never get to my Junk folder.
It looks like MajorGeeks got the scoop on this one.

Majorgeeks told me so.

I am subscribed to the versions NGs.

I do get the emails as well and they always arrive later. I get them
after I have found the updates here and installed them. The Majorgeeks
definitely got the scoop on this one...as soon as I saw their item, I
pitched up hear and there was no mention of the updates.

I had to manually refresh the Updates newsgroup after I saw
this post. I thought Thunderbird was doing that but not for
all of them.

With the OLD newsgroup, I used to see updates announced first in.......
Public.announce.versions
......then get an eMail.

I don't know how MajorGeeks does it. Very often it will have updates
available some days before the 'official' web site and sometimes it
posts something as new when it is months old.
