backing up over network

I'm using Image for Windows to backup a drive to a shared drive on another computer. When ever I try the backup never completes and when I go to check the file its corrupted. Are their any flags I need to set when backing up over the network. I want to get this shared drive working before going out and getting an external hard drive that can plug into an Ethernet port.

Thanks,
Chris

updating your NIC drivers on both ends or different NIC cards or the
physical interface between them, including the hub/routers.
