Never saw any IIRC natch option in IFW when doing the backup. But Terabyte Support says the 2KiB option is only used when restoring so I'm assuming that backup options don't have anything to do with restoring on 2KiB boundaries.

I never said it was a backup option, I said that when creating an IfD boot disk there is an option to align on 2KB boundries. On page 53 of the IfD manual (useful to read, LOL) it clearly states that this option is used for restoring.
