IFL restore to new drive

Post by rustleg »

I have a system with 2 drives
1. SSD with 2 partitions, C for Windows, D for data
2. backup HDD, including images of the Windows partition

In this scenario the licence I have doesn't include BIBM, so the partitioning utility included in IFL is restricted (although the manual doesn't say what it can/can't do when you don't have BIBM).

If my SSD fails and I need to restore an image from the backup HDD on to a brand new blank SSD, do I need to set up partitions using some other software or can I simply restore the C partition to the new drive?

rustleg, simply restore the partition image to the blank SSD.
