Metadata hash files

Hi,

My OS disk is a mixture of NTFS and ext4 file systems. The metadata
hash files, from the manual, I can see are only compatible with NTFS
files systems.

If I activate the option, will the presence of ext4 file systems
stitch off the option for the whole disk or will it still work for the
NTFS system partitions.
