Simple restore from booted image DVD fails

Using BIBM 1.06/IFD 2.67, I create an image directly to DVD.

If I boot that DVD and press the space bar, I can navigate the IFD screens and restore the image (even though the mouse doesn't work). However, if I wait for the restore to start instead of pressing the space bar, I get warnings asking if I'm sure I want partitions to be overwritten. When I answer yes, the restore process hangs at 0%.

what options did you use interactively (BIOS or BIOS direct)? How long did
you want to see if it then starts?

When I don't press the space bar and just wait for the restore to start, I don't get any opportunity to choose those options, do I?
