Thanks for that info.

Can you tell to which compression state it relates to? By that I mean
to which enhanced size or speed level it relates.

"/comp:10" appears to be equivalent to "Enhanced Size - C".

From the GUI, select "Enhanced size - C", then click "Show Command".

Thanks Bob. It would be helpful if TBU would release some info as to
what these compression levels mean in plain English.

Only a little. Qualitative comparisons are not very useful at all.To
make things even more illogical, as one goes up in A>F in the enhanced
size range and the values increase, the compression levels increase
until the junction between C and D when the compression is suddenly
less. The effects should ideally be linear throughout the range.

Can Terabyte provide an idea of some of the new features planned for v3 in the future ?

One feature I'd love to see is ability to restore to system partition during boot with IFW .

That feature has been available for several years. It can be done with IFW, IFD and IFL. Several methods including bootfile, "without a boot disk"...

I know it can be done via various methods, but I would like to just be able to load up IFW, select the image, and chose to restore to C:. IFW would then say it needs to reboot to complete the restore, and the reboot would take place during boot phase.

IFW is usually running from the C drive.
That is where IFL & IFD come in.
Does not seem practical.

The other feature I'd really love to see is writeable (in reality, updateable) images. Let me first clarify that any backup images should NEVER be modified. What I'm after is the ability to mount an image (ideally using TBIMount, so I can use my favourite file manager), and then add/modify/delete files/folders. When un-mounting, it would inform me that changes have been made and ask whether I'd like to create a new image based on the mounted image and any changes to it.

Why do I think this feature is useful ? I often create an image, only to discover afterwards that there were some other minor changes I wanted to make. Instead of having to restore the image, make the changes, and re-image, I could just mount the image, make the changes and create new image. This would/should be much faster.
