Re: can i add notes to IFL bootdisc
Notepad wouldn't run in Linux, but there already are a couple of Linux text editors on the IFL boot disk; There's 'nano <filename>' and
'mcedit <filename>'. There's also 'mcview <filename> to view a file read-only.
There's no direct way to add the text file to the boot disk, but you could so something like keep it on a network share that you would mount
from the IFL boot disk to view the file. To mount a network share on the IFL Boot Disk, choose the "Mount Network Shares" item on the main menu.
If I'm misunderstanding what you want to do, please clarify.

Re: can i add notes to IFL bootdisc
well i use a 20 character password,sometimes 25
so i thgought that a copy paste would be great to add in the bootdisk just in case i loose the password
[restore purposes]

If you use a flash drive instead of a CD for the IFL boot media you can easily keep your text file on it. You still wouldn't be able to copy & paste, but you would be able to access the passwords if needed.
