Hi, Paul.
> "you would have to resize the Windows partition to use the space -- not sure if it's worth the trouble..."
You're so right about that. Moving Windows can get problematic, and I am not pressed for space. I just do not like activity happening of which I am unaware, and I do not recall this partition ever being this large while I had Windows 7. I am wondering whether the migration to an SSD may have altered the geometry? So long as nothing nefarious is happening, I can tolerate it.
Below is the lengthy output from an administrator prompt. Please do let me know if you see anything out of ordinary. I would like to figure out and fix anything that is out of order, just because I like to run a tight ship if nothing else:

Re: Windows Recovery Partition
I don't see anything abnormal in the output. However, Windows is using that partition for both booting ("System Reserved") and WinRE. If you want to delete the partition you would first need to move the booting files and WinRE to the Windows partition. This would be the same steps as in this KB article: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id=409
As for the size change, depending on its original size, it may have scaled when you moved to the new SSD.
