SSDs and IFL

Post by P19 »

I have migrated my laptop disk from HDD to SSD, on which Windows OS and other partitions reside. The backups using IFL appear to work just great and the TBIView as well. I have not had to use the program for restoring the data yet; and, hopefully, I may never need to, but that is another story. In any case, the backup is on an external HDD. My concern is whether there are any special settings that should be made during backup or restoration on account of the SSD disk? Thanks.

no. restoring will restore how it is now, if you wanted to ensure 1mib
alignment (in case it wasn't already), enable that global setting, on
restore use the align to target option (and remove gaps option).
