Exopc - BING "unable to mount" partition on USB drive?

Hi,

I just got an Exopc Slate, which has an internal 64GB SSD. I wanted to use BING to image the partitions on the SSD to an external USB hard drive.

I can boot into BING (from a USB flash drive), and I can get into Partition Work, and I can see both the SSD and the external USD hard drive.

On the external drive, I have a 35GB FAT32 partition that I created for the BING images.

However, when I'm in BING, when I try to do the Paste to the FAT32 partition on the external hard drive, I get an "Unable to mount" error from BING.

I also noted that if I go to Properties ==> Details on the partition, BING gives the same error.

I also used BING to delete and create and format the partition on the Exopc itself, and still have the same problems.

I've also tried IFD, and when I try to select the external USB drive, I get a red error (don't remember what it says).

I've tried configuring the BIOS to "treat SATA as SATA" and to "treat SATA as IDE", but get the same problem in both cases.

What can I do go get BING to work with this Exopc?

Thanks,
Jim

I think I found the problem. The external drive had more than 4 partitions, but no EMBR. I used another drive w only 4 partitions and I can image to that.

anytime dealing with partitions, a partinfo listing (free downloads at the
website) always helps.
