NVM this appears to be an ASUS issue. ASUS forum has posts about this.

I ghave opened a ticket with ASUS and will report back what I hear.

I just discovered that my ticket did not go thru. Have opened another and confirmed that it went thru.

I did receive a reply from an ASUS support person, asking for more information. When I clicked on the Reply button in their email it took me to the original ticket.

I updated the ticket with more information an clicked on the send button and got some reply about their server being busy. I have been trying for several days and keep getting the same error.

I tried replying to the email (directly to the ASUS support person on the 16th but haven't received an answer.

After providing information I was asked to upgrade to the latest bios (2103).

I have upgraded the bios to 2103 and it has given me control of the mouse.

however, it is not working 100%. There is a small issue that the mouse pointer moves by itself about every 1-3 seconds. This causes problems when i want to key something in and the pointer moves somewhere.

Update: it's actually about once every 4 seconds. the mouse pointer moves about 2 inches to the right and down a little. When it reaches the right edge of the screen it just moves down. This is very inconvenient if you need to type something as you lose whatever you typed when the mouse pointer moves.

Edit: added pointer after mouse.

I had to use a different mouse to stop random curser
movement to the right in BING as well as Image GUI programs.

Don't remember exactly now but I might have needed to remove
the mouse completely to get the curser (appropriate word) to
stay still.

Hmm, so it looks like the mouse/cursor movement, could be a BING issue and not BIOS related.

It's not just BING. IFD 2.** graphical interface does the
same thing.

OK, Terabyte, what do you say about this mouse pointer movement issue. It shows up on my ASUS motherboard and on Mary's ACER Laptop (I wonder who makes their MBs).

Also shows up on Image for DOS.
